This
building houses the Omnium Cultural Association,
devoted to the promotion of Catalan culture and language.
It
is a Gothic building, profoundly restored in the 17th century. On
the ground floor there is a peculiar baroque establishment, where
you can have a drink while admiring the decoration and music of
the time.
Next
to this building is an establishment which has become an institution
in the neighbourhood and the whole of Barcelona, the Xampanyet,
inaugurated in 1929, and famous for its portions of anchovies, molluscs
and cold meats. |
